MasterProtect 8000
CI
(formerly
Protectosil
CIT)
is
an
organo-functional, silane-based
corrosion
inhibitor that is applied on reinforced concrete surfaces.
MasterProtect 8000 CI for Sustainable Design and LEED Credits
BUILDING LIFE-CYCLE IMPACT REDUCTION - (BD + C)
MasterProtect 8000 CI is proven as a
corrosion mitigation technique for steel-reinforced concrete.
By
allowing
building
designers to
reuse
and
maintain
the
existing
building
structure, major
renovations
have a less impactful effect on the surrounding environment.
GREEN CLEANING - Custodial Effectiveness Assessment (O + M)
MasterProtect 8000 CI can help you to earn additional credits by addressing the following:
• Buildings treated are kept free of mold, mildew, efflorescence and salt bursts which eliminate the
need for exterior cleaning.
• MasterProtect 8000 CI is maintenance free and has a service life of at least 10 years.
• In addition to helping achieve the above credit, numerous studies have been performed showing the
ability for MasterProtect water
repellents
to
improve the
thermal efficiency of concrete and masonry
building by as much as 7%.

No Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is available for MasterProtect 8000 CI.

Raw Material Source and Extraction Reporting is not available for MasterProtect 8000 CI.
Recycled and Bio-based materials are not used in the manufacture of MasterProtect 8000 CI.
MR Credit Building Product Disclosure and Optimization—Material Ingredients
Material Ingredient Reporting is not available for MasterProtect 8000 CI, however no toxic substances
such as formaldehyde, asbestos, lindane, chlorinated biphenyls, pentachlorophenol or
other forbidden
substances are used in the product.
The product deliberately does not contain any of the exempt compounds of SCAQMD 102.
Health Product Declaration (HPD) and Cradle-to-Cradle Reporting
is
not available for MasterProtect
8000 CI.
